Ooops...I Just Catharted! is a full-color, 282 page hardcover book that includes artwork and commentary from cartoonist Rupert Kinnard’s entire career. From early pre-Cathartic Comics work to editorial cartooning, this book showcases the cartoonist’s range and creative process. Cathartic Comics featured the first regularly published Black and queer characters in American comics, the Brown Bomber and the Diva Touché Flambé. Kinnard weaves personal history and the social trends of the day into commentary that lend insight and context to the comics themselves.
