FAQs

When did you open?

We opened March 3, 2020. It wasn't ideal timing, but thanks to your support, we're still here!

What kinds of comics do you carry?

All sorts! From weekly issues and the well known Marvel and DC comics to local indie published gems. We have a wide variety of genres, so you’re sure to find something for anyone here. Our main sections are Fiction, Nonfiction, Memoir, Manga, All-Ages, and Trades (series).

I'm a local artist. Will you sell my work?

We love featuring local artists' work. Come by the store and show us what you have, and we'll talk about buying some from you.

Are you related to Books With Pictures in Portland?

We sure are! They are our sister store. The idea for Books With Pictures Eugene came about at a Janelle Monae concert in the summer of 2018. Katie Pryde, the owner of Books With Pictures, turned to Andréa and said, "If I ever opened a second shop, you should run it." "We should talk about that, actually," said Andréa, knee-deep in academia but thinking about changing paths.

A year and a half later, Books With Pictures Eugene opened its doors.

As sister stores, both shops operate independently, but share important DNA. Primarily, we both actively foster inclusive environments for comics fans, and we believe community is the core of what makes a comic shop great. Together, both shops hope to spread the message that "Comics Are For Everyone!" to every corner of Oregon. And after that...the world!

Do you buy used comics?

We do not buy used single issue comics, but we do buy used graphic novels. See our page on used book sales for more information.

Where do I park?

We are surrounded by street parking, but it is metered. The nearest garage is the Parcade between Olive & Willamette with entrances on 7th and 8th. It is free for the first hour, and free all day on Sunday!
